Linda Cosmero is a freelance writer who lives in Monterey, CA. She has dreamed of having her words published ever since she was five and wrote "The Brid" (sic) for her kindergarten class.
I wrote the story in the blog section for a writers' workshop entitled, "Writing On The Dark Side." It is taught by a wonderful teacher named Jill Kleiss, who gives the courage to reach into that toilet bowl and pull out beautiful, powerful words that heal your soul. Her theory is that by going to the dark and scary places, you find the best stories.
And as far as the red sunglasses go, Matthew still has them. We always make sure they are safely tucked inside his backpack whenever he uses a public restroom.
